Hotel a Broke Fordwich

“This hotel is outdated and poorly maintained. Although it’s marketed as a full-service hotel, housekeeping isn’t actually provided - despite a sign in the room directing guests to call reception for it. When we called, our request was ignored. We also found bugs in our bed and reported it, but nothing was done. I’d strongly recommend avoiding this hotel; it falls well below acceptable standards in Australia.”

“Travelled with my husband and two toddlers (1 and 2.5 year old) and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and beds were so comfortable. Loved the big open area and the kids enjoyed running around. We loved the farm animals! My kids were obsessed! Definitely will come back so we can do more activities at the resort when they’re older.”

“Firstly, the room I had selected was not allocated to me upon arrival, which was disappointing. Secondly, most of the rooms are outdated and appear to have been poorly maintained. For the price charged, I expected a much better standard of accommodation. Lastly, I requested a baby bassinet before my stay, but no one informed me of any associated charges at the time of the request or during check-in. I was only told about the fee at checkout, which showed a complete lack of transparency. I...

“Harrigans Hotel was fantastic! Great room, great location and easy to work your day around. The pub meals were well done. Unfortunately, reception at Mercure to collect key and when speaking on the phone to Amarn, my experience was not good. Abrupt, short and could not explain why the situation occured.”

Mattresses were the real cheap - old spring type and we could feel every spring. The main bedroom - I couldn't use because there was no power near the beds, so I had to sleep in a single bed to be near a power point.
